Julie's June Favorites

My Fave Five!

1) Maybelline The Falsies Mascara. This mascara is great for me since I have short, wimpy lashes. My eyelashes look fuller and more voluminous with this on. It also separates lashes nicely, making it look like you have more of them! Why not fake it if you can?

2) Hoola Bronzer by Benefit. This bronzer is perfect for contouring for people like me that don't have cheekbones. It's completely matte and looks totally natural- I avoid the orangey bronzers!

3) MAC Blush in Melba. A beautiful peach, coral blush that is the perfect bright color for summer. I instantly feel like my makeup looks brighter when I pop this onto my cheeks.

4) That Gal Brightening Face Primer. This primer helps my makeup stay on all day and helps me look more awake. I have dull skin so this gives me a nice glow while also preventing an oil slick disaster later in the day!

5) American Apparel Nail Lacquer in Summer Peach. I recently found out American Apparel also sells nail polish. This color looks great on both fingers and toes and is very flattering. It makes me look especially tan!

Melissa's June Favorites

For me June was all about the summer essentials. Anything that stayed put whilst I was sweating my face off made my list this month.

1) Acqua di Gioia (Giorgio Armani). This scent is just so fresh and so clean! It's absolutely perfect for a hot summer day. And besides the commercial is reason enough to buy this perfume!

2) Revlon ColorStay in Sand Beige. This foundation made my list because it refuses to budge no matter what. Even after blotting all day it does not move! Basically it's a god-send

3) Dr Brandt pores no more vacuum cleaner. I have no idea how this works but it does! My pores have never been so clean. It also feels so cool and relaxing when its on; it's just like getting a facial!

4) Smashbox O-gloss. This gloss is an "intuitive" lip gloss that perfectly matches to your lip color. I just love it because it's so moisturizing.

5) Stila stay all day liquid waterproof eyeliner. I actually went swimming in this yesterday and was so worried that it was going to end up around my chin area. However it definitely passed the test and held up through a whole day at the lake!

As we know lace has been a hot trends for quite a while and now the fashion world has moved from lace on top to lace on the bottom. Its super girly, super elegant, and just flat out super cute.

Melissa's Favorite New Trend: Nerd Glasses

I know I love nerds but apparently i'm not the only one! Nerd glasses seemed to be popping up everywhere I look. Jocks are no longer the cool kids; the roles have reversed and now the nerds rule the school. Just remember the only rule to rocking nerd glasses...The bigger the better!
